Thanks Howie for setting me up and suggesting the title. It might be a little misleading, but I think I left enough hints so that everyone can figure out who our sexy sexagenarian really is.

Hmm… I think I know who this new playa is, but I’ve been wrong before. Wonder is Simone and Alec are about to bite off more than they can chew…

Oh, yeah! I’m enjoying reading this even more than I’m enjoying chipping in my little odds and sods.
I’m tickled that CMTKOM picked up an offhand line from a note and folded it into the title. For anyone wondering, it’s nicked (no pun intended) from a bitter little song on Nick Cave’s No More Shall We Part. (Hm. Are their any non-bitter songs on that album? Maybe not, but it’s a great record.)

I’m a huge Nick Cave fan… and calling it God Is In The House allowed me to continue my current obsession with naming ficlets after song titles.

Sorry to say this guys, but I’m a Nick Cave purest… early stuff only. God Is In The House just didn’t sound right for me.

I basically dig the whole Nick Cave range, from the raw early stuff (tho’ I’m less keen on The Birthday Party days and don’t listen to it as often) through to the goth balladeer mode he’s in lately. While I’d probably still list Tender Prey as my fave, I finally picked up Lyre Of Orpheus/Abbatoir Blues earlier this year and have been getting some great mileage out of it.
And “God Is In The House” is still an awesome title.
But where’s the sequel?
