Towel Monster 3
Monday approaches with astounding speed. Jack walks up to the check-in counter of the Northern University’s student recreational building. He passes several tall stacks of folded green towels.
“Keeping busy folding towels?” Jack asks the attendant at the counter.
“Yeah. They disappear pretty fast. A lot of people don’t even use them though,” Kevin responds without looking up from the campus paper.
Jack looks around. Beyond the entry gate are two lounges with wooden tables and chairs on either side of stairs. A suspended track is upstairs and encircles three basketball courts and an indoor soccer court located downstairs. Jack leans forward.
“What do you know about Tanner Kenes?” Jack asks the attendant after first looking around to see if they were alone.
“Tanner Kenes!” Kevin exclaims in a hushed voice. He looks up from the paper. “Tanner disappeared two weeks ago while at work, here. No one knows where he is!”
“Thanks,” Jack nods and walks off. That’s exactly what I needed to know.
