I came to the correct place for the first time. This should be easy. Jack walks close to the stairway.

Past the lounge to the left is a two-story fitness center with free weights and machines. Opposite the fitness center and past the lounge to Jack’s right are a few small multipurpose rooms and a storage room with an ice maker.

Jack wanders into the fitness center. There are mirrors on almost every wall. It’s 8:30 in the morning, the same time Tanner was last seen. He continues to the lower level. Can’t be here.

He leaves and walks past the doors to the basketball courts and past the climbing wall that is pitted and covered with several hundred holds.

Still past the wall the wide hallway ends with three doors: one in front and one on either side. The door to Jack’s right is much bigger with large hinges.

Jack approaches it and tries the doorknob. Locked. I wonder if I have the key.
