Blake’s a suspicious bastard who thinks everyone will turn on him. Just his way… I mean, he is a hard-boiled detective at the heart of it all.

As for Blake’s relationship to Lucifer, that could be true or it could be just a slang way of stating it (as in the infamous “Uncle” who isn’t related idea). I left it open ended.
