It’s not a regular series, cause there’s no ongoing story arc, and the individual pieces are more like random snapshots out of the characters’ lives, BUT I like my good ole’ boys. They first showed up in Tell Me a Story About Marshmallows [http://ficlets.com/stories/7984], and most recently in Doublewide Damnation [http://ficlets.com/stories/10543].

Virgil/Sweet would be a young Judge Reinhold. What? Time travel isn’t allowed? Fine. I think John Robinson who played Stacy Peralta in ‘Lords of Dogtown’ would fit the bill.

Bubba, the heavy-handed older brother, would be Scott Caan, the tough guy with blue eyes sweet enough to attempt the Tast-E-Freeze duplicity.

Pistol, and I so hate to go obvious on this one, but Ethan Suplee from ‘My Name is Earl’ already has the part nailed. He’s a bit old, but stupidity never really ages, does it.

I’d love to get Kathy Bates as the mom. And again, going obvious here, Fred Thompson, if he doesn’t wind up as president, would be the dad.
