Happy, and you know it.

The sucky Friday was instantly brightened- as it was any time she saw Marl.
He was classic with a few dents and bruises, much like his car, and she liked that. He touseled his dreads and screamed back at her, “Driver Side Impact!”
Cyn smiled through the dim light and he grinned back. With her feet on the dashbord, their heads started to thrash to the beat now. She would never figure out how he managed to drive and dance at the same time. Marl sped up and she didn’t even see Alex wave. The song died down a bit to a cracked and beautiful melody of gloom. She could hear a xylophone.
Without even a doubt, Marl told Cyn, “Today I went to Office Depot.”
“Yea?”
“Yeah, I bought three packs of sticky post-it notes.”
“Wh-” Cyn was already laughing.
“I stuck them all over the store, and then went around town labeling stuff.”
She couldn’t stop laughing, because when they pulled up to 7/11, there was a little square of yellow on the window. It read, “If you’re happy and you know it, clap your hands!”
