Her Mistake

Dahani walked down the hall humming a tune she had heard minutes ago in the dining hall.
“M’lady..” she heard behind her.
She turned to see the new captain of the king’s guard walking past her.
“Hello, Sir Remore. How are you this evening?” she asked him politely.
“Wonderful, Your Highness,” he said as he turned around to face her, “I enjoyed dinner,” he continued,” you are quite the host. It has been an honor to get to know you.”
He is so attractive, she thought.
“As to you. Well if you’ll exuse me, i must retire.”
As she turned to leave, he softly grabbed her arm and pulled her to him.
“You are quite beautiful, M’lady.”
She pulled away but he pulled right back.
“Let me go, Sir, or I’ll scream and your punishment will not be pleasant.”
He smirked and she shuddered.
Suddenly, she heard heavy boots turn the corner. They both looked to see the towering figure of the king. Before Amitri could see Remore’s face, he was gone leaving Dahani alone and with no explaination to statify her husband.
