Brain Surgery: A Diary
October 22, 2007
I sat in the hospital waiting room for 2 hours before they called my name. I was nervous. Finally a doctor, Dr Zermu… too many other letters that I have forgotten. I will look closer at his name when he comes in tomorrow.
They glued wires to my head to monitor me for seizures. I looked like something out of a Clive Barker film.
The other guys in the waiting area looked worse than I did.
In my room and throughout the entire neurology floor, we are on video to monitor us for seizures.
On my wrist I wear a Fall Risk paper bracelet. I have never fallen during a seizure.

I had visitors today. Took a psyche test. Who is this poet Raymond Kertzezc??? Sure are a lot of questions on this thing. Am I suicidal? No. Do I have supportive friends that I can count on? Yes. Scotty, he visits as often as possible and today he brought me a photograph of my dogs in a wire frame with dog bones on it.
My room feels a little more like home with the photo he brought me.
