I could tell by the way she kept looking over my sholder at Them that now was not the time.
“James, what part of “We will die if we don’t get in there”, do you not understand?!!!” she screamed.
For some reason I felt frozen. I couldn’t move, I couldn’t speak, I couldn’t even breath. I don’t know what was wrong with me, but I do know if it wasn’t for Anna, They would’ve gotten me.
She grabbed me and sprinted towards the house. It was strange, I knew what was happening but it didn’t feel like I was the on expieriencing it. I was completely detached.
Anna pulled me through the front door and slammed it shut. The door shook as They slammed against it.
Anna’s eyes widened. “It’s not going to hold.” she whispered.
