Bizarre situation, making for a fun read. I especially liked the stench sticking to the wallpaper like tar. And the officer in charge is French? How delightfully random.

I agree with THX , that sentence was my favorite. This was wonderfully written; I like the smooth integration of the words, even though multiple ones would come in one sentence.
