Cover up

“So, lets go over this again.” The detective sighed as he eased into a chair in the interrigation room.
“I already told you” I said between sobs. “I came home. And the door was locked. But he did that. He didn’t want anyone to break in. He was so careful…”
“Who was there?”
“Tommy”
“You mean Thomas McLorrean?”
I nodded.
“So how did you get in?”
“I had a spare key”
“And when you got in, was there someone already in the house, with Mr. McLorrean?”
“Yes. I heard voices. It wasn’t the T.V. He didn’t like the TV. It was never on”
“Male or female voices?”
“Two male. Shouting. I went to the kitchen to look.”
“Did you get a good look at the man?”
“No. I heard screams. Tommys screams. And I ran. I hid. I was scared.”
“Alright Ms. Adams. You can go. We’ll be in touch.”

I know lying is a sin. But God will forgive me. What Thomas was doing that night was much worse. He knew I loved him. He had asked for it.
