“Ok, look Linds, I’m sure Jake will listen to you more than Troy listened to me.” said Chelsea trying to calm her best friend down.

“I know, I know, it’s just that for some reason I have a feeling this is a bad time to call…” said Lindsay while the phone was on its second ring.

“I’m sure everything will be fine” replied Chelsea

Lindsay could tell the conversation with Troy had taken a toll on Chelsea, it looked as if she was about to cry.

“Hello?” someone had picked up the phone.

“Oh hi Mrs. Julie, is Jake there?” questioned Lindsay.

“Yes, he is, but he’s feeling a little, um.. under the weather right now… can he call you back later?” asked Mrs. Julie.

“Of course, tell him I hope he feels better!” said Lindsay cheerfully.

After Lindsay hung up the phone she looked at Chelsea.

All she said was “He’s not sick, I know that much.”
