Can't Let Her Get Away
“Thanks” she said, a small yet appreciative smile on her lips.
I returned her smile and said, “Well, your welcome.”
“Not many people would just come up and hug someone they don’t know anymore, you know.” She said, her mood seeming to lighten a bit.
“Yes, but you looked like you could use that hug.” I said.
“I did. Thanks again.” She said, turning and walking away.
I stood there, watching her go. She seemed a bit better, walking with her chin lifted a little higher and a slight bounce to her step. She didn’t look at any more paintings. She walked right to the door. When she was halfway though the door, it hit me. I didn’t want her to walk through that door and I never see her again. Clarissa can wait a little bit longer, and I wasn’t late yet.
I took off after her. Running by the security gaurd. He told me to stop runnning, and when I didn’t he came after me.
“Hey! Stop.” He said grabbing my arm. “Where do you think your going?
“After that girl that just left. I need to know her name.”
