“But that was months ago wasn’t it?” I asked still in shock.

“Yeah, I was a little surprised when found out” She said sheepishly.

“Oh, weren’t you with that other guy?” I asked now confusion replacing the shock.

“Yeah I was, but he was a jerk and nothing hppened between us. He neer even kissed me.” She said bitterly.

“I’m so sorry you had to go through that. At least it’s over now. And I’ll never leave you again.” I told her and pulled her close again.

“I know, I know. And I’m so glad this has brought us back again. I really missed you..” She mumbled into my chest.

We just stood there on that path for what felt like hours. I haveno idea how long it was until she pulled away from me, but I do know I didn’t want it to end. We conitued walking on the path that lead us through the forest. It was my favorite place to be. As we came to the end of the path Emily turned to me. She stood on her tiptoes to reach my lips and kissed me gently. Then she turned and left with out a word and left.
