Thing is, you aren’t, and neither am I! But the generation gaps are becoming so big in so little time, it FEELS like it. [I swear, there’s at least two generations just between 1990 and 1994]
Oh my goodness. That is so funny. And sad. I can remember when there were no gameboys. Never mind that they weren’t in color. And iPods… I remember wearing the big headphones that had built in radios, AM/FM. Absolutely none of this “download your own music.” We had cassettes, and if we wanted to record something, we held the tape recorder to the radio when “our song” finally began to play! And it’s really funny that you mention the gen gap, I feel like things are replaying themselves from us 70s kids.
Wow. I don’t remember a time without ipods. But I do remember when gameboys weren’t in color. And everyone was sooo impressed with gameboy advance. Now I feel young. Well I am, but that’s not really the point. O.K I need to stop now…
I mean a time before Gameboy Color. I’m talking about the gray, brick-sized Gameboy that took four AA batteries to run, instead of two like all the other ones afterwards.
Oh my stars, I remember a time when there were no iPods, only my old, busted up walkman. I remember when they were no CD’s, only tapes that broke because I would rewind them over and over to replay my favorite songs. I remember a time before Pokemon, when Rainbow Brite and G.I. Joe were the hot new toys. But still, I can completely sympathize with you, Fyora, because as we get older, some of that magic that belongs only to the young starts to fade. But there are good things that come with age, too. :-)
Fyora I was going to sequel but then I realized I had to prequel you because I predate most yawl yet I don’t feel totally lost. There is a time when we reminisce about our lost childhood and how things have changed. The gaps are growing but we must grow with them or be left behind as Ana Cristina says there are good things that come with age, too. :-)
well, i’m 15! that magical age in the threshold between who u can communicate with! i have to say, i don’t know where i was during the 90s. i don’t remember ever watching any of the tv shows my friends loved and i got my first gameboy when i was like 11(i never really cared about those though)! i do remember pokemania fondly tho! yay!
