Technical Difficulties
While Dr. Gage writhed on the cold marble of the altar, Angela watched with a mixture of revulsion and sympathy. The flesh of the dead woman was so pale it was almost translucent and the green veins bulged on her neck as she fought against whatever it was that was trying to take hold of her.
“What are they doing to her?” Angela asked Blake.
“I don’t know but it looks like they’re invoking a spirit to possess her body.”
“But isn’t she supposed to be dead?”
“Yeah, that’s probably why they’re having so many technical difficulties.”
All of a sudden they heard the bound woman let loose an unearthly scream. A black vapor poured out of her wide open mouth and formed into a swirling fog over her head. Dr. Gage then slumped over and was still. Angela shuddered in the sudden silence, feeling as though unseen eyes were upon her. And they were..
The fog whose name was Lilith was looking for another vessel, not having found any success with the dead woman. She was looking for a live body, and she found it in Angela.
