In the dark forest, a creature creeps up every four years on the thirtieth of October.
“Are you ready?” said the thin boney creature in a nasal voice.
“Yes.” said a man with a top hat. He had a pompous manner even though only his shadow was to be seen.
“I think we are being watched.” said the creature ever so quietly. “I suppose we should do this quickley.” As soon as the large man handed the frightning creature a small package crudley wrapped in newspaper, A teenage boy with short, spikey silver hair popped up in front of them.
“Stop!” he said calmly and slowly. He put his arm out to them, with his palm opened which emmited a pearly glow. The creature and man stood mesmerized by the unnatural source of light in the otherwise pitch balck forest.
“I have called reinforcement. They will be here soon. If you are smart you would hand over the package immediatly. If you don’t, consequences will be fatal.” The boy said this just above a whisper.
“No.” said the man in a quivering voice. “I won’t let you.”
