The Temple of Justice

It is a very odd feeling to know that you are standing before something, someone that is greater and more terrible than your mortal mind can fathom.

The massive doors loomed over me as I stood on the cascading steps. I knew I had to enter the temple but I wasn’t sure if I had the courage. The Temple of Justice is not a place that one enters with a light heart.
Eventually I pushed open the ornate doors, ready to take responsibility for my actions.

I was not sure why I was there. That night I had gone to bed with a clear conscience. Quite unexpectedly I had found my dream-self in front of the infamous temple. It is said that it looks different to each person, yet we will all recognise it. While I was on the steps I had thought through my life, trying to figure out what ill I had done, or if I had treated anyone unfairly. Although I am not a saint, I could not think of anything that would warrant a summons.

“You have nothing to fearâ€? kind, terrible, blind Justice said. “I have a special task for youâ€?.
