It was a long walk/jog. Lindsay and Chelsea were both exhausted by the time they reached their school. It wouldn’t have been quite so bad if they hadn’t have had their backpacks with them.

They walked into the main office and told them what had happened. Lindsay and Chelsea got lucky and they didn’t mark them absent. They were sent off to class, with a pass.

After getting thier books, Lindsay and Chelsea went to class. They survived the first two hours. Third hour they shared.

Lindsay was walking to third hour when she bumped into Jake.

“Hey! What happened to you this morning?” He asked.

“We missed the bus and no one was home to drive us.” Lindsay admited sheepishly.

“Nice going.” Jake said laughing. “Are you busy tomorow night?”

“Uhm.. No I don’t think so.” Linsay said, unsure.

“Wanna hang out or something? Maybe get an ice cream?” Jake asked, a little embarassed.

“Sure. I’ll have to ask though.” Lindsay said and walked off to her class.

This’ll be fun. She thought.
