Nice portrayal of the emotion behind a painting, or at least the emotion one can evoke! In this case, curiosity about her character, the intrigue, brings sadness, and longing.

I like how you listed multiple possibilities for her character, but then mused about the sadness behind her eyes. Not many people see deeply like that.
