I’m in the middle of the road on this one. The story is one of those cute little moments of life sort of stories, which is neat. For some reason, I couldn’t quite get into it though, which may just be me. Or maybe I can’t relate to guys who would pelt a duck? I dunno’, but certainly an amusing take on the source material.
Hmm. I hate to sound like a grammar freak, but just watch your conventions if you want to be taken seriously. The storyline was cute and mildly funny. I like that Luke got what was coming to him.
some people are idiots like this luke guy..He’s dumb! it’s very funny cuz i was like picturing the entire thing in my head and then i started laughing..and we should have “duck- appreciation “Day
Ducks are so darn cute, I wonder why they aren’t domesticated as pets like cats or dogs. I’d love to have a duck. Ok, nuff of my wants and needs concerning ducks, I liked this story. I felt angry that that guy was throwing rocks at such a sweet (ok, maybe dumb) looking duck but totally revelled in Luke’s fear and I ridiculed his girly laugh along with James. Funny story, man I want a duck though, he he.
And I want to mention that I understand the difference between your character’s thought process over the actual writer’s (your) thought process. Of course Luke’s actions were created to make the reader not like him. And thankyou for giving him what he was asking for—humiliation.
