I love Bugles. And this is a great story. I give you 5 stars just for the Bugle reference. ;) You know, the first time I watched Dracula, I was in my twenties, and it scared the holy crap outta me! I couldn’t go into my bathroom without opening the shower curtain to be sure the tall Nosferatu wasn’t going to peek out over the top of the curtain. :0
Which Dracula? The superior 1930’s Tod Browning/Bela Lugosi version, the 1960’s Christopher Lee, the underrated 1970’s Frank Langella, the made-for-TV Jack Palance or the disappointing 1990’s Francis Ford Coppola edition?
I thought it was great. I was going to go with 5 stars just for the cute picture of an adolescent night alone, sort of a snapshot of life. Then, BAM , twist ending. You got me on that one.
And the number of versions of the tale certainly speak to the resonating power of the vampire fable. And you think you caught a bit of that in this with the ability of the vampire character to rapidly turn the mundane into the horrific.
It would have to be either the 1930’s version or the 1960’s version. To tell you the truth I didn’t give that much thought while writing it, so thank you for bringing that out mr. Tarzan
I don’t know why I thought that was so important to know which Dracula movie, other than I think it gives some insight into what kind of person the character is: if it’s a teenage girl at home watching the 1930’s Dracula, I would think she’s a movie buff. If it’s the 70’s version with the ever-so-dreamy Frank Langella, she’s a romantic. If it’s the made-for-TV with Jack Palance, she’s just weird. : ) Good job, by the way.
the decription of the Vampire was good at the end and the fact that she was alone in the house made the story eerie before anything scary even happened.
ooooh!!!!!! I like this alot, it DID have a twist ending, lol. Great Read!! SOMEONESEQUEL IT . I would but I’d prolly ruin it, lol. Good Job anywhowayz! -Bri-on!!
