Out of curiosity, which kind of Indian? I think that vital detail is missing from this story. (You’d be surprised how vital it is, because you don’t know what sort of accents to imagine he has, or what his facial structure would be like.)
Other than that little problem, I enjoyed the real-life-ness of this story. I’d like to see it continue. :D

I’m guessing you added the ‘Cheyenne’ after Fyora’s comment. A very nice moment in time, one interaction that spreads forward and backward in time quite nicely. Lovely ficlet.
