A very nice description. I’m torn though whether I felt too lost to appreciate everything, or if it was just good teasing material, suggesting more story than could fit into ficlet size (Why is the NEIA worth it and what is it, the school or the apartment?)

NEIA stands for the New England Institute of Art. It’s a college in Boston. For the protagonist it was a much more desirable choice than the local tech school in NH. This piece was just kind of an intro to the rest of the story. The main development of this story will be on the D train so I had to explain the whole commute thing first.
