The Next Day
It’s already the middle of the week! Plus I get to see Brandy’s cousin.
I hope she is as hot as Brandy!
“Ok, Tom, remember: She had just got through a breakup with another boyfriend, but she has another one now, and I hear he is nice.” Brandy relayed for the millionth time.
“Got it,” I said. “Got through a breakup, new boyfriend, she’s really hot-Ow!”Brandy hit me across the back of my head for my joke.
“What was that for?” I complained, rubbing the back of my head.
“For being funny.” Brandy smiled, and relayed the details again. After I repeated it again, without my joke, I though it sounded familiar.
‘Cause Brandy has been telling you a thousand times a day!
I disowned the thought at reminding myself.
“Oh! Here is the place!” Brandy exclaimed, she took my hand and led me into a well-lit diner, with women and their dates wall to wall.
What the hell? This is were I’m working!
I muttered a hello to Mary as Brandy dragged me to our seats.
“Oh! There they are!” Brandy yelled.
