“Yup, they definitely have it,” he said grimly.
“All three of them!” my mother shrieked.
“What, what do we have!?” We asked.
“Well of course we’ll have to run the tests first.”
“What tests Mr. Hatcher! What are you talking about?” We asked again.
“Should I tell them now,or wait until after the tests. You’re the parents, so you ultimately decide,” said our band director.
“Well, I suppose we should tell them now,” the parents replied.
“Tell us what! What’s happening?”
In their most serious faces, our parents told us we suffered from,
“CPBD. It stands for Crazy Psychotic Band Disorder.”
The only sound after that was the sound of our laughter.
