Not sure where I was going with this, maybe just kicking around an idea, a character. And I can’t resist continuing my pet character, Dr. Stevens. I should connect them more, but they aren’t really intended to be connected.

I enjoyed this. It’s definately a great exposition. It makes me interested in your character and what’s in store for him.

Maybe he cleans pens, yuck! maybe he files and types, boring, or maybe he likes animals in grotesque condition. Interesting!
And since the vet is driving a P.O.S. car, and is HAPPY about it, maybe he’s not the vet…. Doctor could be a nickname.

That’s one peppy vet :) Don’t know that seeing a cheerful vet would make me excited about working for him (maybe more creeped out by him) but Jerod seems like an easygoing fella.

While I was reading this I actually got a really strong memory vibe but I’m not sure why and the memory was gone before I could really get a hold of it and figure it out. Sort of a fleeting deja-vu moment. Weird.
