“Well I need you in my life too!” She agreed.

“So what’s the problem?” Cody asked still confused.

“Everything!” she said with a raised voice

“Oh come on Joy, you gotta help me out here.” Cody said with added concern.

“You have someone, and I don’t. I don’t want to be with just anyone, I want to be with you. I feel alone, because I am not with you. Ever since fifth grade I have wanted to be with you.” She said before she sobbed slightly.

“Joy, just because I have someone doesn’t mean I wont still be your friend. I wanted to be with you too, but I was scared! I had no idea you felt like that, honest.” Cody proclaimed.

“Really?” Joy asked, her mood brightening.

“Of course, but I thought about it, and I decided that If we go out, chances are, we would break up. And I didn’t want to hurt you. I didn’t want to lose my best friend because I went out with her.” He explained further.

Cody could hear her crying on the other end.
“Joy please stop crying.” He Pleaded.
