Groggily, Abby woke up from one of the weirdest dreams she’d ever had. She carefully tried to replay it in her head…
She had gone to meet some friends in the forest for tea. Except her friends had been Mr. T, Fergie, and Dolly Parton herself. Crowding around the small tea table, Dolly poured them tea and purple grape juice. She also offered them pancakes since she had five.
Sipping from her china cup, Fergie remarked, “Oh, Dolly, I heard the saddest thing happened this morning in that country you’re from. What’s it called? Oh yes, TEXAS !”
“Fergie, Texas is not a country! And I’m from Tennessee!
“Oh, whatever! As I was saying… This little boy, Franklin, was attacked by a wild turkey! All the towns people came out and were shooting at the turkey, and they finally pulled it off of the boy and he seemed to be fine and went back to playing. But this morning he woke up all dizzy and then, little Franklin died. Isn’t that just the saddest thing ever.”
As we all solemnly agreed, Mr. T said, “I pity the fool!”
