allie knows
Allie gave me a knowing look.
“Ok, whatever you say.” She knew the truth. By tomarrow the whole school will know. By the end of the week, the whole country will know. By the end of the month the whole world will know. I might as well wear a shirt that said “I LOVE MAX !” on the front. We got to lunch and not another word of my weird feelings about Max were discussed.
Allie, Max and I were all on the same bus. Also, our friends Jason and Sam. They were twin brothers and the most attractive guys at our school. Both of them had girlfriends, Jasons was a girl Maddy, whom I hated with passion. Sam went out with a ninth grader(! a whole year older!) named Sarah. She was our neighbor and was pretty cool. So, in the midst on a perfectly normal bus ride home, Allie decides that we should play “Guess”. Guess is a dumb game in which we pick a someone and we have to ask them if they like us. Allie was trying to get somewhere here. She picked me. Now, all the guys had to ask me if I liked them. Lying was a felony.
