After dinner Chris went to the study to look up job listings. He was still reeling from the argument. He could not believe he had to start working elsewhere. It was all too surreal for him.
Once he gave it more thought, he realized that he was getting tired of working for a newspaper. He wanted to do different things. He always thought about the other facets of journalism. . He posted his resume on a web site. He also looked up various other publications and see if anybody was hiring. He thought about broadcast news, and applied there.
Before he knew it, two hours had passed. He felt hopeful that he did the right thing, and would soon get an offer.
Thora walked in the room. “Hey Chris, what are you up to?” she inquired.
“I’m just doing some job hunting hon” He said as he looked up at her.
“You don’t have to start looking right away, wait a few days” She suggested.
“No I don’t want to wait, we need the money Thor. You can’t handle the expenses on your own” He told her. She nodded
