I didn’t know what to do. I mean I couldn’t leave school.So I did what I do best-I ran. I ran down all the halls and past the classrooms. I ended up in a courtyard and I smelleed something weird. Pot? So I kept running until i found myself in yet another courtyard. A guy was talking on his iPhone.
“Yes, this is Smith Greenfield…You’re kidding. I won the part? Seriously. ok five at Sunset and East. Ok. See you later.” There was a click and the boy turned around.
“Woah didn’t see you there…do I know you?”
“No, I just moved here. I’m Hallie.”
“Smith Greenfield. I know this is dumb to ask because I’m skipping too, but why aren’t you in class?”
“Long story.” I sighed and pushed a stray hair behind my ear. Smith was cute.
“I won the part of Janie’s long lost brother on the tv show Central. You watch?” I never heard of it.
“Yea…I love it.” I gave him a weak smile.
“So your new. Have you met Blair Summerton yet?”
“As a matter of fact I have.”
“Cool. She’s my girlfriend. Come and eat with us today.”
