He sat in the car dumbfounded. She had moved on….He wasn’t offended or hurt, just shocked it had taken her so little time. For what seemed an eternity he sat in his old driveway thinking of what he had lost.

After a while, numb with shock, he pulled out and was soon back at his apartment in the city. When he arrived he checked the mail to fine a letter:

“Dear Eric,

I have realized how right you were about us. You and I just couldn’t be together. It wasn’t meant to be. I understand why you left and I’ve made my peace with it. I’m moving on and I just wanted you to know that.

P.S.
.....I still love you….”

His heart refused to beat, his brain flared in such intense pain he couldn’t fully feel it. He collapsed at his apartment door. Tears couldn’t flow so he sat there, mouth wide open.

He had made the BIGGEST mistake of his life. What had he done?
