Perhaps I should write about how I only know the “Hail Mary” in French, or the way I squint at the computer screen, or even the way that I only swing my arms from the elbow when walking through the hallway, but I won’t.

Instead, I will talk about how I buy books and then return them. This quirk really started when I read The Tale of Despereaux too quickly, and my father made me return it. After this, I started returning any book that didn’t suit my fancy. Which means that until I finish a book, I don’t remove price stickers, keep all receipts, and turn each page carefully.
