“Like I said before, I was in the living room watching TV. And I was not really paying attention to him. I knew to stay out of his way when he got like this. ” She began

The lawyer urged her to continue.

” I was watching a few TV shows, and he would come in during the middle and bug me about my homework. The first time I told him, its finished already. He would return several times later and ask the same thing. The first three times it didn’t seem to sink in. So he would wait and come back as if he had done it the first time, each time.

“How did you react the final two times?” Asked the lawyer.

“I looked him square in the face and I spoke as loud as I could and as clear as I could, I told him that it was already finished.”

“So then what happened?” The judge probed.

“He grabbed me by the arm and walked me to the basement. Half way down he pushed me down the steps, He shouted from the top of the steps. That will teach you to ignore me!.” She stated

The jurors gasped in horror
