“And two hours later my dad would come home from work. He was in a very angry mood. He shouted to himself and threw things around. He sat in his chair and had a smoke.”

“Was this before he went on his rampage?” The lawyer asked.

“Yes, he didn’t start drinking right away, it was like two hours or so later” April stated.

I was watching tv in the other room at the time so I don’t know what he did in the exact order”

“Did you see him take his first drink?” Asked the lawyer.

“No, but I heard him crack open a beer can, you know that loud puncture noise.” April explained as she motioned with her hands and used sound effects to illustrate the sound.

The lawyer walks over to the jury and starts giving a little back story.

Her father, is an abusive alcoholic! He would torrment herself and her mother, simply because he had a bad day at work.

“April tell us what happened after he started drinking, we all knew that he got drunk..what happened after” The lawyer probed.
