Ficlets

Lyar Lyar

“What?” I asked quietly trying to pretend this all wasn’t real.
“Yeah, I told Rider and Rider told Derek,” Tristan confirmed.
I started to feel my face become really hot.
“Sierra, your face is really red,” Tyrah told me.
“Yeah, I know,” I told her.
About a minute later, Tristan was suddenly right next to me.
I turned to face him, “What?” I asked still annoyed with him.
“I don’t really know anything,” Tristan admitted, “neither do Derek and Rider.”
My face dropped in relaxation yet astonishment.
“So you made me freak out and worry for nothing?” I tried to get the whole thing straight.
“Yeah, it was fun,” he said.
I was silent, but then I spoke.
“That is SO mean!” I exclaimed with a smile.
I was only smiling, though, because I was relieved that he didn’t know anything.
Tristan went back to his own group.
Then I looked back over at him.
“Wait – unless you’re lying about lying….”
I didn’t know why I was worrying myself again.
But Tristan just shrugged so I laughed to myself and turned away.
