North Cape May,
my home someday.

I hear the seagulls as they soar
taste the salt air in my mouth,
The Cape May shore,
in New Jersey, South.

Sitting on the bay in North Cape May,
The water so calm and still.
I want to stay here all day,
perhaps some day I will.

Writing messages to my mother in the sand,
feeling the chill in the December air,
I hold some seashells in my hand
and feel the breeze blow in my hair.

Butterflys flutter by, what a sight
I sit and watch them land.
I want to stay here all night,
the quiet, the peace feels grand.

The Cape May beach, at the New Jersey shore,
the best place on Earth by far.
Who could ask for more,
but to sit and wish upon a star.
