What's the deal?
Our faces went from joyful to semi-serious.
“A proposition?” I asked
“Yes, yes. I heard about your successful performance at the Beacon Theatre last night. You two have progressed quite alot since i last saw you. How long has it been, two, three years? Seomething like that.”
John smiled, “Thank you, it’s a shame you couldn’t have been there. It was really something, with all those people.”
Jude nodded, “And that is why I’ve come. You two have proved to be quite a team, and I have an offer that I think will be worth your while.”
He smiled and took another fork-full of pasta to his already stuffed face.
“I heard your conducting career has really taken off, especially with your promotion. ASO (Atlanta Symphony Orchestra), that’s quite a challenge.”
“Oh, it is. But I was wondering if you two would like to join as soloists. It would be an honor. the ASO would be glad to have you. And not to mention the money involved.”
John and I gave each other an unsure look. I knew exactly what he was thinking.
