Not So Sweet 16
A sudden urge came over Luna. What was this feeling? She looked down on her hands. Paws?! Luna tried screaming. All that came out was something between a howl and a bark. Why had she turned into a dog? She pranced up to the mirror. No, she was taller, broader and prouder (obviously smarter), than a dog. No; Luna had become a wolf. Her ears pricked. She wheeled around. Two other wolves were trotting over to meet her. One had a blaze down its forehead and socks over its paws. The other was a pure black with stunning blue eyes.
“So, how does it feel being a wolf for the first time, dearie?” the blazed wolf asked.
Luna leapt backwards. Where had she heard this voice before? “MOM?!” she yelped.
“Yep!” Iris closed her eyes and sat happily, wagging her tail.
“Don’t panic her, Iris. She’s a first timer,” the black wolf said, in a serious, business-like tone.
“No way,” Luna breathed. “Dad?! Please, please, please don’t tell me its you!” Luna whined.
“Damned right it is,” the black wolf said pertly.
