I Love You
Rodney pulled away from her minutes later.
Rodney: It’s getting dark, how are you going to get home?
Jeanette: Hmm…
Rodney: I could drive you there. I have my Jeep.
Jeanette: Hmm…
Rodney: What?
Jeanette: You are so silly! You know I’m going home with you.
Rodney sighed and smiled.
Rodney: This is so totally totally wrong.
Jeanette: Oops.
Rodney: Now you’re being silly. How will you get home tomorrow?
Jeanette: Hmm…let me think.
Rodney: I stumped ya.
Jeanette: Actually I was going to say that I leave in the afternoon tomorrow. You know skip school and you can finally teach me to surf.
Rodney: That’s not fair! You’re making it too tempting for me not to resist.
Jeanette: Yes, because I want you to leave me. Very funny.
Rodney laughed, standing up in the sand. He craddled Jeanette like a baby, going toward his red Jeep. He smiled as she looked up at him.
Jeanette: I love you.
He didn’t reply, instead, just kissed her rosy lips with passion as he walked on.
