Ego Libido Amo Tu In Aeternum, 15
“Have a fun weekend!” Sephith yelled to us as we ran from the training ground. We had worked hard over the last six days, especially the last three, which were part of a survival exercise. I was aching, sore, and bruised… Even thinking of how much so pained me. Well, Sunday was here. I’d be able to relax, finally. On the way, I stopped at the magic shop to peruse the scrolls within.
“Seracor!” Shopmaster Freudan welcomed me. The dusty scrollracks were just the same as they’d been four years ago. Freudan was a short, roung, jolly man. He had the mind of a mage, but never could find the time to train fo the classification. When I was being shuffled around different orphanages, Freudan offered to care for me. Well, he didn’t have much room, so he bought me a small cottage, prepared me with equipment, and sent me money to live on. In fact, he even signed me for combat school when I wanted to join, and gave me advice on many things. I practically owed my life to him, and we’d become a family.
