I never really went to Freudan’s magic shop anymore, finding his stall quite unpleasant, preferring to visit him after classes. “Hey Freudan!” I embraced Freudan in a quick hug.

The shopkeeper asked me, “How is the mage training going?” I yawned for effect, “Tiring. I need to see the scrolls for a few more spells. I’m thinking something along the lines of a counterspell or an anti-magic shield.” The bearded man chuckled. “Seracor, anti-magic shields have been outlawed by the Kingdom for over thirty years! Where have you been?” I laughed along with him, though I honestly had no clue.

“Okay,” I stopped laughing. “Do you have something along the lines of a Purify spell?” Freudan nodded. “Why yes I do. Would you like it?” I answered, “Yes.” So he produced a small scroll from his desk and gave it to me. “Only one way to test it…” he spoke.
