I paced back and forth and K’y’erma watched me with a concerned attitude. I couldn’t believe it. West gone? And with Lucifer? We had been fighting with the Big Guy ever since we found K’y’erma and she told us who we were. Lucifer and God had been fighting for ages and we had both decided to help God. What had changed?

“He didn’t leave us.” K’y’erma looked at me with concern but I was positive. “Doesn’t the color of his fire prove it?”

“What do you mean, Ashley?” but I could see the wheels turning in her head. Our flames were blue and they had red: God and Lucifer’s favorite colors. “You’re sure they were purple?”

“Yeah,” I thought back to our trip here. I gasped as something hit me. “He wasn’t hitting them. None of them hit at all. I was too busy trying to figure out how he managed to keep his own but no one was trying to hurt anyone.”

“Lucifer knew we were suspicious of his best spy.”

John walked in to ask if I was ready and K’y’erma filled him in. I was to happy. West still had a chance.
