Confession

Luna waited eagerly for the sun to go down. She had given Chelsea her homework. Her usually energetic best friend was now confined in bed with a bad case of chicken-pox. Luna had had it when she was ten, so she wasn’t scared of getting it.
She had finished all of her homework and tidied her room.
Luna took a deep, shuddering breath. There was a warm tingling all over her body. When she opened her eyes, yet again, she was on all fours. She looked in the mirror. Great, the pendant was still there.
She trotted up the hill, and sure enough, Mark was sitting on a bench at the picnic area. She strode forward.
Mark’s eyes widened as he saw the wolf.
“You!”
Luna ignored his surprise. She found a long, sturdy stick and grasped it in her teeth. She dug a small patch of dirt and spread it out as evenly as she could with her paws.
“What are you doing?” Mark came over. He saw the pendant jangling at her neck. “That pendant-”
Luna took the stick in her jaws. She scraped out a name in the dirt.
