“So ballroom dancing is a sport”, he said matter of factly, “By your own definition.

“Well, yes I guess it is,” I reluctanly admitted. “The way they dance around the dance floor takes skill, and athletic ability to be sure and of course competition and a trophy”

“Then by you’re own logic, race car driving isn’t a sport, I mean where’s the athleticism, no one is jumping or running, or throwing, or even dancing, any one can drive a car. So chess not a sport, but synchronized swimming is?,” he said antagonistically.

“um.. ah.. I think i have to rethink my sports criteria,” I said sheepishly.
