Pass the Day
Just like any normal high schooler, Luna got up in the morning, put on her school uniform and went around whining about why her hair was curling with the moisture.
She did this to feel like what was labeled “normal”.
Last night she had given a confession. Not an ordinary one, but a confession nonetheless. She sighed. Luna put her pendant in her palm and looked at it, gleaming in the sunlight. She went to the bathroom and stared at her newly-grown fangs. They looked so…so-
“Out of a book! Or worse: A sci-fi movie!” Luna whined. She fingered the edge of the fangs. “YEOW!” she washed her bleeding fingertip under cold water. “Goddammit, these frickin’ things actually pierce!”
“I can tell you’re not in a good mood,” Luna’s mother, Iris, had glided in like a ghost.
“Jesus, Mom! Don’t creep about in the shadows like a friggin’ monster!”
“Yep, definitely in a bad mood,” Iris said.
“Ah, leave me alone. I’m gonna be late if I don’t leave now,” Luna growled.
“Who’s stopping you?”
“Hmph!” Luna strode out.
