Step 4: Think It Over
Emilia looked bewildered. “How can you do that?” she asked. I shrugged. It didn’t seem like a big deal to me. “It’s what I do,” I told her, awkwardly smiling, trying to lighten the mood. She looked away from me. I felt terrible for scaring her like that. It was a horrible feeling in the pit of my stomache, as if I was about to be sick.
And that’s when I realized it, I truly loved her. There was no question about it. I loved Emilia with all my heart. She made my life complete. How can I ever…kill her? I tried to push the thought out of my mind, but I knew that when the day came, there was no way I would be able to harm her. I just couldn’t.
“It’s okay,” I said, gently taking her by the hand and leading her out of the resteraunt.
“Great,” I thought sarcastically. “What am I going to do?”
