Lucked Out (part 2)
“Well the girls who wear them must have absolutely no idea about fashion or style at all!”
I drag myself from bed and get changed into my school dress and slip-on flatties. Then I make my way up the hall to Jane’s bedroom. Mums standing outside the door with a pair of navy blue hipster shorts tucked under her arm, and scowling at Jane’s closed bedroom door.
I reach for the pair of shorts under mums arm and lightly tug at them. I pulled them from unde her arm and held them up to the light beaming down the hall to examine them.
“They look fine to me Jane, just wear them.” I say through the poster-clad door.
The door handle turns and Jane steps through the door ripping the shorts from my hands.
Mum’s scowl turns to a twisted look of fury “You are not wearing that to school! You go change into your shorts and wash your face right now!” Yelled mum.
Jane was wearing a mini skirt and tank top with a chunky black belt and high-heeled boots, and her eyes were burried under ten ton of mascara
