I pushed myself away from him.

“What’s with Anna flipping out?”

He looked me in the eye, and it felt like he was staring deep into the core of my heart. Then he looked away.

“Hey – talk to me, what was it about?”

“Jnvkiemnfa.”

He was mumbling, and I couldn’t hear him. “What?”

“Hhisnavds-”

“Look, if you’re not going to tell me what happened, then I’m leaving.”

Finally, he looked back at me. “Anna’s..”

“What? Anna’s what?”

He looked like he watned to tell me, but I could tell I wasn’t going to like it.

“Just tell me, I won’t get mad.”

I sat there, stunned. I could feel all the heat rushing to my face, so I closed my eyes and tried to relax. He tried to give me a hug, but I pushed him away again.

Very calmly, I yelled, “Tell me you’re kidding.”
